H22 type S

Ok some kid is buyng my hole ls swap and this kid wants to sell me his obd2 h22 type s motor would that work in my civic if i send my wiring harness to rywire to get built?

you dont need to send your harness anywhere, lengthen the wires to make them fit and wire in vtec yourself, find a spare harness for parts and youll be fine, ive done this manytimes myself :thumb: were you thinking of a strait h22 or a h2b jw?

ya they dont have type s. they have a SH model prelude. :?

he said obdII. i dont know how much more work that will be to get running.
also there was a type S prelude. they were made in japan from 97-01.

well i would do just h22 no h2b i want the long gears i have seen h2b fall on there face after 100 its a grate track setup this is just going to be a highway car

word, it was the jdm base model prelude i believe

the type s is the euro r. should have a red top or blue top. blue tops are tricky tho. not all are type s

The TypeS was the Red Top H22. There was a F20B DOHC VTEC Blue Top motor and then the H23 DOHC VTEC Blue Top motor as well. I owned a EJ and then a CB7. I swapped in a JDM H22A automatic in the CB7.

correct....some bluetop H23A's are type s as well as some f20b's.....i own a H23A that is. F20B manuals are also type s spec
